Three Musketeers has always been a favorite of mine. The candy bar is so simple and so light, that you almost feel like you are not being “bad� when you eat it. In fact, a whole advertising campaign has been built around the fact that it is not an overly-sweet, “heavy� chocolate bar. The secret is the whipped nougat center. Originally, the bar had three centers: chocolate, vanilla and strawberry when it was introduced in 1932. Hence the name “Three Musketeers�. Since then, the centers have dwindled down to just the whipped chocolate nougat, but the name was so popular the Mars Candy Company decided to keep it.
