Very good question - we have ice packs that we ship with order to keep it cool for orders West of the Missisipi; however for orders East of the Mississipi we are changing our policy soon - we will start requiring 2 day Fedex to place a chocolate order - other candies make it just fine but chocolate melts easily. This policy will only need to be in effect until Sept. 15th. We will update our order form in a few days.

Has anyone heard of Sandy Candy? Sandy Candy is a candy kit that you that allows kids to make their own Pixie stick like candy. The kit comes with six bottles of flavored candy and empty sticks to put the candy in. You can also buy it in bulk to do large quanities (such as school carnivals, arts and craft shows, birthday parties, girl and boy scouts, etc). Kids of all ages love this activity. How many times have children made plain old boring sand art bottles? This is much better. They can not only eat their candy sticks, but they can create them with their own kit! E-mail for more details. Remember, Sandy Candy is the tart art they can EAT!

Good question - because the 24 ct. box comes with 24 bags of several war hears per bag - approx. 10 per bag. 10times 24 equal 240 ct. Another person had the same question - we weighed them both - the tub was about 1 ounce heavier - think it was the packaging :) Thanx.. that has solved my probs..!

We can get you Zero bars - write us directly if interested and we can order them - not a stock item. Unlike mall candy stores we don't want to open bulk candy bags and sell per pound because this causes the candy to be less fresh. However, on "popular" items we do plan on selling per pound as long as it sells fast - within a month - want very very fresh. Agreed on the pictures - we are working hard on these - stay tuned :)

Got in an argument this weekend over, of all things, the Charleston Chew bar. A friend has one of the new bars in new packaging. We argued over the old bars' size and shape. I said the bars were about 9' long and almost as high as they were wide. My friend argued that they were more flat (I told him he was thinking of the Marathon bar). We agreed that they were great because they were the biggest bar on the shelf. Who's right??? Does anyone have a photo of the old CharChew bar?? Ceck out: http://www.topsecretrecipes.com/candybars/cndybr1.htm That is the first page of 40 or so of old candy wrappers, I remember the Charleston Chew wrapper is amongst them. I also remember the Charleston Chew of the late 50's as being long and flat...

Can anyone ID this candy bar... It was all chocolate - firm consistency - but the inside was 'whipped' or something, which made it really airy - but still firm chocolate. Ate 'em at Grandma's in the 70's or early 80's...??? Help! I need some!! Thanks in advance... Kel -- Your 'Swiss cheese' analogy makes me wonder if you might be thinking of the AERO chocolate bar, which is solid on the outside and holey (or airy) on the inside. I think it could be a version of what we in the U.K. call an 'Aero' bar available in milkchocolate, orange and mint and consists of a chocolate covered inside of a firm whipped bubbled chocolate.

Does anyone know if they stopped making Alexander the Grape candy? They come in a purple and white box with a picture of a Grape with a Roman Headress. They're little purple balls that are sour on the outside and have a hard white candy center. If anyone knows if they still exist, please let me know. Hello, Have you ever heard of Lemon Heads? Well, there are also Grape Heads that are sour on the outside and white candy on the inside.

I am looking for sources to purchase black liquorice. When I was a kid, my dad would buy us these hard, black liquorice candies - they were like a ju-ju-bee, but much larger and had a diamond imprint on top with the word 'Heide' in the center of the diamond. I found these candies about 2 years ago in the Cleveland or Cincinnati airport at one of the 'general stores' in the terminal. They were sold in bulk - but I can't find them anywhere in New York - please help me - I am a black liquorice addict!!! orriginally comming fromm Holland. We have a lot of different kind of liqurice. They taste real good. The one you mention I have never heard of. So sorry I can not help you. Do you like that taste or others to. Greetings...

I did some searching on the net. Seems someone else had the same question as you - there are some other non-licorice recipes I found interesting so I included them too - here is the answer: : I'm looking for recipes for gummi candy and also for : licorice. All I've been able to find so far is : a recipe for gum drops, and another for licorice : caramels. These are the only thing I have seen: GUMMY WORM SPECIAL Make Jello according to directions on package. Let cool. Fill clear plastic tumblers with Jello. Put in a couple of gummy worms. Let Jello set until almost firm, then stick a couple of gummy worms in the top to hang slightly over the sides. Serve when Jello has completely set. I am looking for gummy peach pengiun candies. I don't know what brand they are, but I was once able to get them at a candy store in my home town and they don't carry them any more. I would like to have some before my best friends wedding in july. Has anyone heard of Peach penguins that are gummy? (They are black and white and about an inch tall) Thanks!!!

Subject: Chocolate Treat 1970's
Message:
Trying to locate a chocolate treat which was in Southern California retail stores during the 1970s and which may have been taken from the market late 1970s or early 1980s. Treats were sold in packs of 10 to 12 pieces. They were long, skinny chocolates, similar in texture to a tootsie roll, but a bit lighter. Dimensions of the actual treat were similar to the size of a straw, about 4 to 5 inches long. They were a chewy, fudgy, chocolatey snack. We are desperate to remember what they were and if they are still made anywhere.
