For the cola candies ... you can try Chupa Chups lollipops. They come in soda flavors. The only hard cola candies I have been able to find were in Germany -- they have cola frogs that taste exactly like what you are describing.

I forgot to leave my email in the next chat area below. I'm in search of cola flavored hard candies from my childhood. Possibly Jolly ranchers. They had the carbonation in them just like cola! They were around in the mid to late 60's when I knew about them. THANKS!

When I was a child I used to stop by the local mom & pop store on my way to school. For a quarter I would buy 25 cola flavored hard candies...I think they were jolly ranchers, but I'm not sure, they looked like Jolly ranchers. They were delicious! They even seemed to have the same carbonation in them that a cola has. I have not been able to find them. It is a shame if they are not made any more. Has anyone seen them or knows what I am talking about? I'm not kidding when I say those cola hard candies were the best...a wonderful childhood memory and a great treat. I WANT ONE! :>)

I am looking for a unique individually wrapped gum that was around when I was in High school around 1984. I think it was called Fortune gum. It came in an orange wrapper with a chinese man's head on it, and each piece had a fortune wrapped in white paper around the gum inside. Kind of like Bazooka gum with the comics. I don't know if this gum is still produced, who manufactured it, or where I could find it. Anyone who knows of it or has any info. about it, please e-mail me Thankyou!!

You can get the Jelly Belly Juicy Pear jelly beans right here on this site. Go to the home page and do a search. Don’t look under the jelly Bean section. You will only find the gift boxes. If you do a search and go to “Bulk Candy” they are there. 10 pounds of them for $37.90 Big Hint to the people who run this board: If you list the flavors separately under Jelly Beans you might have more people find what they want.

Marie S.: The only place you can get Juicy Pear Jelly Belly Jelly Beans is at the Jelly Bean Factory. You have to ask people if they still have a bag with one flavor in it still, If not, then go to a store that has all the different flavors of Jelly Beans and get a bag and fill it up with Juicy Pear Jelly Beans. If you can't find any. There is a store in California that I could tell you about that has all Jelly Beans in it. EMail mr for more info.

To Mike, in New York. I am searching for a candy called Sourbites. I haven't seen them around, since the late 70. They were semilar to Sweettarts, but a litte more sour, softer and had pictures of cute animals on them, such as a tiger, hippo, and etc. I have placed a message on this site each time they archive the records, with no luck so far. Wht I really want to know is if they are made anymore and where I can get them, or if not, what company made them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought that the Marathon bars sold in the UK are the same as our Snickers bars. The Marathon bar that was sold here in the US is not the same. It was made my M&M/Mars and was discontinued in 1981. It was braided caramel covered in chocolate and was really long. (I have read 8", 10" and 12"--not sure which is true.)

Neopolitan flavoured, flat taffy like wrapped in a wax paper, about the length of a 30cm ruler, flat, and about 2 inches wide can be found at "Suckers" candy stores in Toronto. Many of the candies you people are looking for can be found at one of the Suckers franchise stores. These stores are 'retro' candy stores specializing in candy from the 50's, 60's and 70's ....a real gold mine. Also check out two other new stores in competition with Suckers- "Candy Mountain" and "The Town Dump" both located in Toronto. Enjoy. Candy lover in Toronto

Could anyone with any information of the following candy please e-mail me at coriebaker@msn.com, even if it's only that you remember them to. They were a hard candy in sour flavors, cherry, lemon, etc. They came in a roll, like live savers but were individually wrapped. I think they were form the Royal Crown, Regal Crown, something like that. The wrapper had a crown on it. They were better than Cremesavers or any other hard candy I have ever had. Please respond if you remember them. Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can still get these awesome gum filled cinnamon jawbreakers--I think they were Willy Wonka brand, and the name was similar to Heat and Ice or Hot and Ice...something like that. They were made in the early to mid 80s and the deal was they had alternating hot and cool layers with cinnamon gum in the middle. THEY WERE THE BEST!! Any idea where to find them??

I have been trying to find a candy that I haven't seen since the late 70's. It's called Sourbites. My brother and I loved them, but haven't been able to find them in years. They were a lot more sour than sweettarts, a little softer and had cute little animals on them. Do they still make them, if yes, please let me know. If not, does anyone out there know who made them? I'm hoping we live in the wrong part of the country, and someone might know where I can find them. I live around the Augusta, GA area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is for T Parker, from Florida. While I do not know anything about Carob, if you are on a sugar free diet, there is another product, you may want to avoid. It's called Sorbitol. It is an ingredient in many sugar free candies, cakes, ice creams, and even sugar free cough drops. So, check the labels. I can say I have a cast iron stomach, but this stuff does a number on mine. Any product that contains this stuff has a warning somewhere on the package that states, it can cause this condition in certain sensative individuals.

can someone please tell me what happen to licorice snaps. I bought some about 3 weeks ago and all of a sudden they can't be found anywhere. I was told by 2 different candy stores that they were discontinued. Who in their right mind would discontinue them. That's like discontinuing Christmas. If you don't know what they look like I'll tell you. They are black licorice bites that come with a thin coating of pink, green, white or orange and they are delicious. And no they are not the same as licorice pastels. They don't even compare. Someone please help me find them. I'm having withdrawals. Thanks!!

I am hooked on Gummi Savers Wacky Frootz. I can't find them anymore and I'm crushed. I'm 42 years old, and gotta have my candy. Does anyone know anything about them??? Thanks!
