Move over, Good Doctor…this time, the saying is true. There is a new Sheriff in town! That’s right kids the Sheriff of Candytown is in the house. I’ll be taking the time to taste, touch, smell and savor the flavor of all those delectable morsels of sugary gold that you and I call “candy???. So bring it on! Chocolate, sour, gummy or pea-nutty…they are no match for the Sheriff’s palate. And away we go!
Upon opening the wrapper, my nostrils were treated to the scents of rich chocolate and coffee. Now these scents (for most) are quite enjoyable. They are reminiscent of your local coffee house, or if you are lucky enough, your kitchen in the early morning. In our house, I make the coffee and desserts and the Good Doctor consumes it all before I even get a chance. Lucky for me, the Good Doctor is not here to steal this delicious Hershey bar. But I digress…back to the candy!
Now the smell alone is inviting, but the taste my friends, is even better. The chocolate is smooth and creamy, creamier than the usual chocolate bar. It has just the right hint of mocha mixed in – not too overpowering, but it definitely plays a factor in this candy bar. The almonds are chopped and mixed in and the whole bar screams “delectable???. Hershey is best known for their milk chocolate and milk chocolate almond bars, the chocolate bars that all of America has come to know and love. The tried and true chocolate bar that has stood the test of time. Normally, I am not one to mess with success, but I say, “mess away, Hershey!??? If their new creations all taste as wonderful as the Mocha Almond bar, then I’ll be truly grateful.
